Aardvark Medical
Aardvark Medical's Aspiration-Irrigation-Relief device, offers an effective, comfortable alternative to treat nasal congestion, chronic sinusitis, and seasonal allergies, utilizing a unique saline wash and aspiration technology.  The patented design and disposable cartridge allows easy, efficient nasal culture collection providing higher yields and thus improved sensitivity to detect pathogens ranging from strains of influenza to antibiotic resistant bacteria.  Especially important in the pediatric population where there is no pharmaceutical alternative, the irrigation system allows for gentle but rapid relief of nasal congestion in a safe, sterile manner.  Aardvark Medical is currently manufacturing a professional in-office system and later a consumer home-based version.

Aurora SFC Systems
Aurora SFC Systems has created a unique CO2-based chromatography instrument that speeds the drug discovery process thereby reducing the costs and improving efficiency of drug development. The innovative and ‘green’ technology leverages existing liquid chromatography (LC) market by creating an inexpensive module that transforms a traditional HPLC ( high pressure liquid chromatography) into an SFC (supercritical fluid chromatography) instrument. By removing the requirement for toxic chemicals in the mobile phase, the instrument also reduces the cost of chemical disposal and is safer for the environment. Aurora recently launched their first product in April ’09 (Aurora SFC Fusion A5) and already has systems in place at many of the large pharmaceutical companies.
